There are some people in Basingstoke who go without food due to benefit delays, wage delays, low income, family violence, unemployment and homelessness. The food bank meets real needs; it is simple, sustainable and well-organised. Although not an exclusively Christian organisation it is supported by many of the churches in Basingstoke and is a highly practical way of extending something of God's love to local people.
